Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FGFBP2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated FGFBP2 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher FGFBP2 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FGFBP2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and LIHC show a favorable association.
KIRC, LIHC, and LGG are the cancer types where FGFBP2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
