Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FGF2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FGF2 data layer compared with 15 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher FGF2 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FGF2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and CCRCC show a favorable association.
UCEC, LUAD, and LSCC are the cancer types where FGF2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
