Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FGB mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 9 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FGB data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 9 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher FGB mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FGB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as OV show a favorable association.
GBM, LUAD, and CCRCC are the cancer types where FGB mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
