Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FERMT2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FERMT2 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher FERMT2 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FERMT2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA show a favorable association.
BLCA are the cancer types where FERMT2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
