Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FBXL17 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of FBXL17’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where FBXL17 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types FBXL17 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, LUSC, and COAD are the cancer types where FBXL17 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
