Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM86B2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FAM86B2 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher FAM86B2 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM86B2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM are the cancer types where FAM86B2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
