Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM83D Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FAM83D data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher FAM83D Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM83D expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
KIRP, KIRC, and STAD are the cancer types where FAM83D Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
