Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM3D mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FAM3D data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), where higher FAM3D mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM3D expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and HNSC show a favorable association.
PDAC, LSCC, and HNSC are the cancer types where FAM3D mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
