Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM25G RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of FAM25G’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where FAM25G RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types FAM25G is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as STAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUSC and STAD are the cancer types where FAM25G tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
