Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM243A RNA is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated FAM243A data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD), where higher FAM243A RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM243A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
PAAD, PRAD, and SKCM are the cancer types where FAM243A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
