Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM239C RNA is linked to patient survival in 11 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated FAM239C data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OV), where higher FAM239C RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM239C expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as OV and BLCA show a favorable association.

OV, BLCA, and ESCA are the cancer types where FAM239C RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
