Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM238A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FAM238A data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher FAM238A Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM238A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
ESCA and SKCM are the cancer types where FAM238A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
