Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM230B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of FAM230B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where FAM230B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types FAM230B is over-expressed in tumor.
THCA and UCEC are the cancer types where FAM230B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
