Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM226B RNA is linked to patient survival in 10 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated FAM226B data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher FAM226B RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM226B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and ESCA show a favorable association.
UVM, KIRC, and SARC are the cancer types where FAM226B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
