Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM222A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FAM222A data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher FAM222A Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM222A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM, STAD, and ACC are the cancer types where FAM222A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
