Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM219A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FAM219A data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher FAM219A mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM219A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM and CCRCC show a favorable association.
HNSC, PDAC, and GBM are the cancer types where FAM219A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
