Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM218A RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated FAM218A data layer compared with 3 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher FAM218A RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM218A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and KIRP show a favorable association.

MESO, UCS, and UCEC are the cancer types where FAM218A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
