Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM218A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FAM218A data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher FAM218A Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM218A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC, ESCA, and KIRP are the cancer types where FAM218A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
