Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM204CP RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of FAM204CP’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where FAM204CP RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types FAM204CP is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA and COAD are the cancer types where FAM204CP tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
