Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM166B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FAM166B data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher FAM166B Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM166B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM and UCEC are the cancer types where FAM166B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
