Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM13A-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated FAM13A-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher FAM13A-AS1 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM13A-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and BLCA show a favorable association.

SKCM, BLCA, and KIRC are the cancer types where FAM13A-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
