Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM135A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FAM135A data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher FAM135A mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM135A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC show a favorable association.
CCRCC, LUAD, and PDAC are the cancer types where FAM135A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
