Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM107A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FAM107A data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher FAM107A mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM107A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD show a favorable association.
GBM, LSCC, and LUAD are the cancer types where FAM107A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
