Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FADS2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FADS2 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher FADS2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FADS2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
BRCA and UCEC are the cancer types where FADS2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
