Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FABP9 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FABP9 data layer compared with 18 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher FABP9 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FABP9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM and LIHC are the cancer types where FABP9 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
