Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EXTL3 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EXTL3 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher EXTL3 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EXTL3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM and LSCC show a favorable association.

HNSC, LUAD, and GBM are the cancer types where EXTL3 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
