Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EXOSC9 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EXOSC9 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher EXOSC9 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EXOSC9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, LUAD, and PRAD are the cancer types where EXOSC9 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
