Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EXOSC3P2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of EXOSC3P2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where EXOSC3P2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types EXOSC3P2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as ESCA and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KICH, BLCA, and ESCA are the cancer types where EXOSC3P2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
