Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EXD1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EXD1 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher EXD1 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EXD1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
KICH, ACC, and GBM are the cancer types where EXD1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
