Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ERO1A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ERO1A data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher ERO1A Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ERO1A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, LUSC, and UCEC are the cancer types where ERO1A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
