Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EREG Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EREG data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher EREG Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EREG expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
STAD, UCEC, and SKCM are the cancer types where EREG Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
