Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ERCC6L mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ERCC6L data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OV), where higher ERCC6L mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ERCC6L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC show a favorable association.
OV, LSCC, and LUAD are the cancer types where ERCC6L mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
