Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ERCC5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ERCC5 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OV), where higher ERCC5 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ERCC5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
OV, ESCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where ERCC5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
