Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ERCC1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ERCC1 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OV), where higher ERCC1 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ERCC1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
OV, UCEC, and PRAD are the cancer types where ERCC1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
