Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ELK3 RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ELK3 data layer compared with 6 for mutation status and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher ELK3 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ELK3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and ESCA show a favorable association.
KIRP, KIRC, and MESO are the cancer types where ELK3 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
