Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ELANE RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ELANE data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher ELANE RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ELANE expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and LAML show a favorable association.

KIRC, HNSC, and LUSC are the cancer types where ELANE RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
