Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EIF5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EIF5 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher EIF5 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EIF5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and UCEC show a favorable association.
BLCA, PRAD, and LGG are the cancer types where EIF5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
