Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EIF4ENIF1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EIF4ENIF1 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher EIF4ENIF1 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EIF4ENIF1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and CCRCC show a favorable association.
HNSC, LSCC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where EIF4ENIF1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
