Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EIF4EBP1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EIF4EBP1 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher EIF4EBP1 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EIF4EBP1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
CCRCC, UCEC, and LUAD are the cancer types where EIF4EBP1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
