Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EIF4E2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 9 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EIF4E2 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), where higher EIF4E2 mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EIF4E2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and UCEC show a favorable association.

PDAC, COAD, and OV are the cancer types where EIF4E2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
