Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EIF4E Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EIF4E data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher EIF4E Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EIF4E expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
KIRP, UCEC, and ACC are the cancer types where EIF4E Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
