Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EIF4A1P13 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of EIF4A1P13’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where EIF4A1P13 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types EIF4A1P13 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as PAAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUAD, KIRP, and PAAD are the cancer types where EIF4A1P13 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
