Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EIF4A1P1 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of EIF4A1P1’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where EIF4A1P1 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types EIF4A1P1 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and BLCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, KIRC, and BLCA are the cancer types where EIF4A1P1 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
