Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EIF3J Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EIF3J data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher EIF3J Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EIF3J expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
SKCM, COAD, and BLCA are the cancer types where EIF3J Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
