Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EIF3E Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EIF3E data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher EIF3E Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EIF3E expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
KIRC, UCEC, and ESCA are the cancer types where EIF3E Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
