Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EIF3D Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EIF3D data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher EIF3D Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EIF3D expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM, LIHC, and UCEC are the cancer types where EIF3D Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
