Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EIF3C mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EIF3C data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher EIF3C mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EIF3C expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and PDAC show a favorable association.
CCRCC, HNSC, and PDAC are the cancer types where EIF3C mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
