Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EIF3B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EIF3B data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher EIF3B Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EIF3B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
CESC, OV, and UCEC are the cancer types where EIF3B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
