Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EIF2S2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EIF2S2 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher EIF2S2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EIF2S2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
ESCA and UCEC are the cancer types where EIF2S2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
