Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EIF2AK3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EIF2AK3 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher EIF2AK3 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EIF2AK3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
CESC, UCEC, and SKCM are the cancer types where EIF2AK3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
